Absence or Leave request
Each school has 12 weeks of vacation each year and a number of study days in addition. The other days the children are expected at school.
Additional leave may be required. You can request extra leave if there are compelling circumstances. These are exceptional, incidental circumstances that prevent the pupil from attending school, for example in the event of a marriage or death in the family.
Leave is not granted in the case of:
- family visits abroad
- cheaper travel outside the school holidays
- holiday spread or leave because other children in the family are still free
- a day out
If you would like to request leave, please fill in the form below. The management takes a decision, possibly in consultation with the attendance officer, about whether or not to grant the leave and will inform you about this by telephone or e-mail.
